Coach Download
The rules of the 2005 competition are very different from those in
previous years. To focus more on opponent modelling, the coaches are
no longer judged by their team's soccer-playing performance, but
instead judged solely on their ability to recognize the opponent's
strategy. Our coach agent is able to store models of patterns
from reviewing log files then recognize those behaviors online when they're
carried out by the opponent team. For more information, see the
official rules or the coach home page.
The coach implementation was done almost completely from scratch, but
some code and ideas were taken from our previous 2004 entry.
The binary used in the
competition is available for download here:
utavcoach05.tar.gz
Note: Java 1.5 or higher is required to run this binary. The
coach has only been tested on Debian Linux 3.1
