1) Experiment with one of the parsers available on the web. A good one to try is the PCFG parser available at http://depts.washington.edu/llc/olr/linguistics/LIN_005/chartparse.shtml, which lets you submit whatever grammar and lexicon you like. But if you want to try one of the other ones, go ahead. Write at least two pages describing your experiments.
