- Musician
I'm Nathan Williams - a Computer Science student at the University of Texas at Austin. I've focused my studies on computer architecture and low-level optimization, but also have a passion for web technologies. I currently work as an undergraduate TA for Computer Architecture.
My Favorite Projects
I have other projects, but these are what I believe are my most important. Take a look at my GitHub for my other coding projects, or my YouTube for some of the music I made during high school.
- The Omelas Project: Resources to become digitally independent (ie. to own and control your digital information, rather that relying on relying on the services provided by "big tech"). Currently, this is a series of tutorials on setting up your own webservers. I expect to grow this over time.
- Sarascript: A new scripting language for the web. Highly parallel, secure by default, and simple in both design and usage. I began work on this because I wanted to use PHP to write my website, but was put off by the prevalence of security issues.
- Project Shrew: (Currently, in the research phase). A new type of synthesizer, designed for live performance. Intended to improve on many of the usability issues of current synthesizers. I began work on this because I had a large amount of trouble synthesizing sounds using DAWs during live performances.
