About Me

👋 Welcome to my Personal Website! I am a senior Computer Science student at the University of Texas at Austin with a passion in data science, software engineering, and healthcare. Working at the unique intersection of tech and medicine has allowed me to gain valuable experiences with people and computers not-alike!

Experience & Academics

Capital One TIP Intern

  • Developed an ML monitoring software to help identify traffic flow anomalies for the FS Dealer Data Pipeline
  • Increased the efficiency of detecting Snowflake table anomaly updates by caching ETL files on table metadata. Optimized pipeline to query 20% less data, reducing compute costs
  • Developed a pipeline monitoring applicaiton hosted on Docker and deployed via AWS ECS, utilizing Lambda triggers for lifecycle management
  • Developed an internal tool for ML workflow trigger to initiate HTTP/S events for cloud triggers on AWS

Bioinformatics Teaching Assistant

  • Assisted the Computational Biology resarch stream by teaching students on concepts of gene expression analysis and protein network interactions
  • Developed curriculum for genome sequencing and Python applications to analyzing RNA-seq datasets

Computational Biology Research Fellowship

  • Analyzed gene expression levels on sc-RNAseq datasets to identify cancer stem cells in pancreatic tissue samples for early stage PDAC
  • Performed graph-based clustering techniques and identified key cell populations that trigger gene pathways related to ALDH genes for novel drug targets
  • Worked alongside Dell Medical School researchers to sequence patient DNA and map genes to expression level targets

Projects

aws_deploy

A flexible tool to maintain and deploy your AWS architectures

friscohospitalnetwork.org
  • Developed a website and presented it to Cook's Children hospital administration to potentially connect 10+ clinics
  • Built the website with React and Firebase, and will continue to build on the project in later stages (Fa 2024)
  • Collaborated with Cook Children hospital admin for project approval to enable donations to Frisco clinics
  • Future revisions of the project will be using the aws_deploy framework!
TetraNet: Intl. Science and Engineering Fair

We sent a mini "satellite" and mapped vegetation patterns using computer vision techniques.

OrangeAI

A smart mobile app that utilizes a convolutional neural net model to identify and track your food intake. Track your calories and health metrics with a helpful AI assistant, Orby!
