Grace Kim

I am a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, studying Computer Science and Mathematics as a double major. I am part of the TAUR lab led by Professor Greg Durrett.

My research interest is in Natural Language Processing. Lately, I have been thinking about how we can build models that generalize to more realistic and complex natural language tasks. Below are the specific research questions that I am most interested in, but I am open to other problems.

• Reasoning in Long-context Language Models: How can we evaluate and build LLMs capable of document-level tasks that require complex reasoning beyond surface-level information, especially in multi-document setting.
• How data affects model’s knowledge: How can we better understand knowledge acquisition process of LLMs with respect to data it is trained on.
• Modeling human diversity: How can we model diverse human interpretations and opinions in LLMs' generations while avoiding biased outputs.
