Parallel vs. Sequential Procedures.

Procedures are classified as either sequential procedures or parallel procedures. A sequential procedure is one that does not refer to any parallel variables or parallel constructs, and which only invokes other sequential procedures. A parallel procedure contains references to parallel variables, contains parallel constructs, or invokes at least one parallel procedure. Parallel constructs include region specifiers, reduction operators, wrap and reflect statements, and I/O statements.
