About this FAQ

This document is intended as a guide for the members of the UTCS Machine Learning Research Group about "how to do research" in general, how to use the specific tools available to us here at the UTCS, and also any topics that ARE frequently asked by members.

The guide is divided into five parts: (1) Surviving the graduate programs; (2) Doing research; (3) ML group resources; (4) Computing resources; and (5) Technical tips about our environment.

The information in this FAQ evolves over time. Please update this guide yourself if you find errors or dated information or have something useful to add.
