Project Shrew

*This project is currently in the research phase. In order to avoid coloring the perception of the interviewees, I am limited in the information I can give out.

Project Shrew began on Jan 31 2024 by Nathan Williams. It is intended to be a synthesizer for live performances - designed to improve on the usability of midi synths and laptop DAWs. The first prototype of this project is also intended to be my final project for my class on Human-Computer Interaction at UT Austin. Thus, the first prototype can be expected in May of 2024.

The project is currently in the research phase. We are conducting interviews with live performers to ensure that the proper needs are addressed. Updates to the project will be posted as blog posts on this page. The next update will be posted after the research phase has concluded, by Feb 15, 2024.
