Chasm Lake, at the base of Longs Peak, is remarkably deep. I've heard tales of giant trout in this lake, though I've never seen one, nor heard of anybody actually catching one. The dramatic setting of this lake at the base of the east face of Longs Peak makes it one of the most beautiful in the park.
