CS395T-TDCA Project pre-proposals
				Fall 1998

Due Date: October 28 (in class)

Length:   1-2 pages

Scope of pre-proposal:

    1) Brief description of technology to be examined and its
       anticipated characteristics in 10 years (1 paragraph).

    2) Brief description of architecture or product, why it
       is a good idea (ie. what will it be used for), and why
       it needs the anticipated technology (1-2 paragraph).

    3) Description of how you will justify it in your report to
       the VCs.  Will you use models of the application and
       technological capabilities to argue validity?

    4) Areas of risk for completion your class project (as opposed
       to achieving success in company that would be funded by DCH).
       What are the difficulties that you anticipate facing?  For
       example:
	    - Justification ought to have simulation but no simulator
		is available
	    - Technology projection is too tenuous
	    - No idea how to formulate the budget

Oral Presentation/discussion:
    October 28 with instructor (roughly 30 minutes)
