I finished up the searching and highlighting! I did a lot of the heavy lifting for my tasks the previous week, so I just got a lot of my other classwork out of the way this week. Still had lots to do, though.
I'm not sure how the visualizations are supposed to work for this last phase of the project. I tried checking out a couple of past projects but their visualizations were also down (I think it was an issue with the database no longer in use?). The rubric for the last phase will probably be released soon, though, so I'm not too worried about that.
Probably start on the last phase of the project as soon as I figure out how the visualizations work (I'm not sure what we're supposed to do there). Only three more weeks of school left! I'm starting to appreciate how this class doesn't have a final.
I think it was useful to reinforce the concepts from the previous paper, but I got a bit tired reading through it. With that said, the examples really made the paper much more understandable and relatable.
I'm starting to really like SQL! I saw that another classmate mentioned the SQL Murder Mystery from Knight Labs and so I just finished playing through it! It was pretty fun. I think theta join makes a bit more sense to me (just check the binary predicate) than natural join, though.
My friends. I'm really thankful to have people that I can rely on when I'm "going through it" and with whom I can share happy moments. It makes the stresses in life more bearable.
I'm ever-so-slightly interested in hacking (there's a UTCS club for this: isss), but I've found it a bit difficult to get started with. I recently found Hacker One, a website for both experienced and novice hackers alike.
