Implementation of the reduce

 

When implementing the PLAPACK reduce, the issues mirror those for the implementation of the copy. Again, a building-block approach can be used, the result of which is summarized in Figure gif. Again, shortcuts can be used to attain higher efficiency for special cases, as illustrated in Figure gif.
