Data visualization

Online data visualization can be achieved by using display servers (see Section 3.3.3) to send data from Rscheme to the corresponding program plotting the data. The communication with this program is usually done through a socket or a pipe. We recommend Labview to create quick prototypes for online (and offline) data visualization.

Offline data visualization is usually done by creating a log and then extracting data from the log to the appropriated format required for the visualization program (see Section 3.3.2). We recommend Gnuplot, Graph, Matlab and Labview for processing log data. On the lab machines you can obtain help on these utilities by typing
