UT Computer Science is the sixth best global university for computer science, according to the 2014 U.S. News & World Report Rankings.
According to the same report, the department's gradute program is holding strong at ninth overall, tied with Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, the program is ranked seventh in artificial intelligence, eigth in programming language, eigth in systems, and tenth in theory.
