09/27/2013 - The National Science Foundation has recognized two Baylor College of Medicine researchers, along with a researcher from The University of Texas at Austin, with a collaborative research award that is a joint initiative between the NSF Division of Mathematical Sciences and National Institute of General Medical Sciences to support research at the interface of the biological and mathematical sciences.
01/24/2013 - Farnam Jahanian, UTCS alum and leads the National Science Foundation Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE), returned to campus as a distinguished speaker. Hosted by Professor Al Mok, Farnam's Postdoc Chair, the lecture was on "Innovating for Society: Realizing the Transformative Impact of Computing and Communication."

05/03/2011 - The Department of Computer Science (UTCS) congratulates Professor Mike Walfish, winner of a Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award from the National Science Foundation. The CAREER awards recognize promising young faculty and supports their research with five years of funding.
