Chen collaborates with Prof. Peter Stone in UT Austin's Learning Agents Research Group (LARG). Previously a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Berkeley, he led behavior-related research for autonomous driving at the Mechanical Systems Control Lab. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree from HKUST, Chen specializes in the intersection of control, robotics, and learning. His research focuses on developing trustworthy autonomous agents, leveraging deep learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and control. Applications include multi-agent trajectory prediction, interaction modeling, motion planning, and vehicle control.
