Dixin Tang

Assistant Professor

Dixin Tang is an Assistant Professor at the UT Austin Department of Computer Science. Before joining UT Austin, he was a postdoc scholar at UC Berkeley working with Prof. Aditya Parameswaran. He earned his Ph.D. from the CS department of UChicago, advised by Prof. Aaron Elmore. He is passionate about building data systems and conducting interdisciplinary research at the intersections of databases with distributed systems, storage systems, machine learning, and programming languages.

My current research focuses on building novel data systems for modern hardware and applications. I also work on optimizing data-intensive applications through program synthesis and verification.
