Veena Ravishankar joined UT Computer Science as an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Fall 2024, demonstrating a deep dedication to teaching undergraduate courses and engaging with students to empower them in the field of Computer Science. She has taught various Cyber Security courses in the past. Her research interests encompass theoretical computer science and computer science education. Outside the classroom, Dr. Ravishankar actively promotes women in tech and cybersecurity while participating in educational conferences. Before her tenure at UT, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia and earned her M.S. and Ph.D. from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
