Professional courtesy and sensitivity are especially important with respect to how we address each other, and we strive to address you in the ways you prefer. Class rosters are provided to the instruction with the student’s chosen name, which you may update through UTDirect (
https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/ais/chosen_name/student/). That said, we will gladly honor your request to address you by a name that is different from what appears on the official roster and by the pronouns you use (she/he/they/ze, etc). Please advise us of any changes early in the semester so that we may make appropriate updates to our records.
